Biography

Born and raised in Michigan, Draea Burnett is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design, in Columbus, Ohio. She also received her Masters of Arts and Teaching degree from Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. Draea is a painter, whose areas of focus includes, watercolor and mixed media painting, incorporating textural elements. The artist is a member of the Michigan Watercolor Society, the Historic Scarab Club of Detroit and the Grosse Pointe Artists' Association. Her work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and private collections. Additionally, Draea had a painting selected by the set decorator for use in the major motion picture, "Scream 4", from Next Pictures, Inc.
